The individual player box is where the athlete makes his or her throw. Men and women compete together in three disciplines: individual, pair and team competition. Each competitor plays six balls in an individual event, three balls in a pairs event and two balls in a team event.
Competitors: Athletes with cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, stroke or similar non-progressive conditions compete in this sport. Players compete while seated in (wheel)chairs and some participants are permitted to use assistive devices, such as ramps or chutes, to aid in propelling the ball.
